MT. WASHINGTON ADVENTURE


Enhance your BC vacation in the magnificent mountain surroundings of Mt. Washington.  In the winter, Mt. Washington is our local ski mountain.  In the summer, it hosts a variety of mountain activities such as mountain biking, horse back riding and hiking in spectacular Strathcona Provincial Park.

SUMMER

Mt. Washington is only a 30 minute drive from Comox and is located beside the famous Strathcona Provincial Park.  The Park has extensive, beautiful hiking trails.  You can take short easy day trips or extend for longer times and visit the upper mountain lakes.  The Paradise Meadows Trailhead is located at the base of Mt. Washington Alpine Resort.  Creekside House is located beside the Trailhead.  Great hiking opportunities can also be found at Mt. Washington Alpine Resort.  You can take the Eagle Chairlift to the summit of Mt. Washington (1588m) and take a self-guided tour through the high alpine.

Mt. Washington also offers Disc Golf and Horseback Riding, and has extensive Mountain Biking trails, including a Dual Slalom course for advanced riders.

Mt. Washington offers fine dining year round, with a Cappuccino Bar, Fat Teddy's Bar & Grill, and Fireside Restaurant.

     

WINTER

Mt. Washington is Vancouver Island's premier snow destination with over 50 alpine trails for skiing & snowboarding, over 55km of cross-country trails, 20km of snowshoeing, a snow tubing park, plus a natural luge track.  It boasts the first six-seater chair lift "The Hawk" in Western Canada.  With an average annual snowfall of 900cm, Mt. Washington is a natural choice for your next winter vacation.  Creekside House is located right next to the Hawk Chair.

While at the mountain stay in a three-bedroom, fully equipped condo, Creekside House, just meters from the trail head to the Park and right beside the Green and Hawk chair lifts.
